The No1 contender discusses his dramatic change ahead of world title clash with Randy Orton
JINDER MAHAL has revealed the secret behind his transformation from hopeless jobber to a heavyweight hunk on the verge of WWE glory.
The Indo-Canadian wrestler is currently enjoying a huge push by the company and will challenge Randy Orton for the heavyweight championship at Backlash on Sunday.
It’s his first significant run in WWE after spending years as a forgotten mid-card performer, which led to his departure in 2014.

However, he returned to the WWE last year and fans instantly noticed a difference in the 30-year-old – he had hulked up.
Accusations of steroid abuse were thrown his way.
But just days before his battles for WWE’s biggest prize, Mahal has revealed how he naturally transformed his body into its current Adonis-like shape.

Carlos Tevez does not like Chinese food and ate ‘barely anything’ after making mega money move to Shanghai
Mahal told Sportskeeda: “The secret is consistency. I literally haven’t had a cheat meal in 3-4 months. I haven’t eaten anything I shouldn’t have.
“Even now, on the tour, I have my cooling bag with me and I carry five meals with me so that I eat every two hours.
“I eat 30/40 grammes of carbohydrates, 30/40 grammes of proteins with every meal. Then there’s cardio six days a week and weight training six days a week.
“I also became straight-edge. I also do a lot of Olympic compound movements. Then there are lots of basic squats, lots of push-ups and other exercises. Overall, from diet to exercise, I’m seeing good results.
“I’m going to keep getting in better shape because not only do I look better but I feel better.
“I feel better inside the ring in terms of stamina and endurance, which is important if I want to become WWE Champion and have long matches every night.”
Having first been drafted to Raw, last month’s superstar shake-up led to Mahal being drafted to SmackDown Live.
And he has rocketed straight to the top since that move, with the help of allies the Singh brothers, to become the No1 contender for Orton’s title.
Mahal he insists that he will claim the biggest-prize in sports entertainment this weekend and also revealed the next goal he wants to achieve.
He added: “I would like to face John Cena. Hopefully, I will be WWE Champion when the time to face Cena comes.”
