SHANE McMAHON has miraculously survived a helicopter crash after making an emergency landing in the Atlantic Ocean and inflating a life jacket.
The son of WWE owner Vince McMahon tweeted that he’d “like to thank the man upstairs” after the incident.
The two-person Robinson R44 helicopter made the emergency landing off Gilgo Beach, New York, as McMahon and pilot Mario Regtien managed to swim away from the aircraft unharmed.
The red aircraft managed to float on the water after the landing skids were inflated and a kayaker rescued one of the survivors.
According to NBC, a mayday call was made and a commercial flight heading to JFK Airport alerted flight controllers.
McMahon told ABC news: “It’s very unsettling, when you have something happen, you hear a bang and then you start saying ‘we’re going to do an emergency landing in the water.’
“But Mario was super calm, which made me super calm, and we landed perfectly.”
The son of WWE supremo Vince is a minority shareholder in the hugely successful wrestling franchise.
