Emmys security nearly disrupted a blissful night for Zendaya‘s mommy.
Claire Stoermer hilariously remembered her night at the 2022 Emmys minutes prior to her child won Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for Euphoria In an effort to relieve Zendaya’s nerves, Claire approached the star’s table– up until she was held up by security.
“[I] made my method to Z prior to they granted her the Emmy and offered her the greatest hug and stated … breathe!!!” Claire composed in an Instagram Story publishedSept 13. The just issue? “The man who tried to stop me said ‘where are your credentials?'”
Luckily, Claire understood simply what to state.
“i said ‘i’m zendaya’s mom’ and kept walking!!” she continued, including laughing emojis. “hahaha! i never name drop like that but i have to do it!”
The magic words worked, and Claire was on hand to enjoy the starlet provide her approval speech.
“Thank you to the Academy, thank you to my friends and family, some of which are here tonight.” Zendaya stated throughout her speech, stopping briefly to laugh as her mommy cheered. “Thank you to Sam [Levinson] for sharing Rue with me, thank you for thinking in me even in minutes where I didn’t think in myself.”
