Ex-Manchester United forward has been keeping very busy lately as he steps up his recovery from an horrific ACL injury
WHEN Zlatan Ibrahimovic went down with an horrific ACL injury in April of this year you just knew he wouldn’t roll over and let it finish his career.
Already aged 35-years-old, many felt the ligament damage would be too much to recover from.
But nothing stops Zlatan… as he’s shown this week.
Not one to mope around the house as he faces missing out on all footballing action until at least the beginning of 2018, he’s kept himself extraordinarily busy.
Check out everything the former Manchester United striker has been up to in the past WEEK alone…
First of all, the Swede superstar stunned the football world when he revealed a video of himself back in training.
This was no light training though… he was lifting some heavy leg weights as he shows he may be ready to return to action well before the original estimate.
At the end of the video, Ibra said: “The king of football is coming back.”
Of course, the clip sparked interest from all over the globe as fans urged Jose Mourinho to re-sign the Swede… including famous supporter Usain Bolt.
The Jamaican sprint king claimed: “Zlatan is one of the greatest hands down.
“For me he really did great for United last season so if we get a chance to sign him back I would go with Zlatan.”
Then Paul Pogba leaped behind his former team-mate, claiming: “Obviously Zlatan is a leader, always a big leader, and he’s a big leader because he’s still in the team.
“Even though he’s not playing he’s a leader outside of the pitch.”
The week got better and better for Zlatan as he was honoured by his home country in the most incredible way.
Ibrahimovic was revealed as the new face of the Swedish 1000 Krona note, before comparing himself to a US president.
He claimed: “You have Benjamin Franklin and you have me”.
Despite signing Romelu Lukaku in recent weeks, United boss Mourinho has STILL kept the door open for Zlatan, dropping another huge hint this week.
The Special One claimed: “We spent because of what happened to Zlatan and we cannot allow ourselves to be without an important, strong striker for the first six months of the season.”
Mourinho’s claim suggests Zlatan will return after he has finished rehabbing his knee.
On Thursday, Ibrahimovic showed off just how well that training has been going – even comparing himself to King Kong.
Things have been getting even better for the Swede star too – as now he has revealed his own brand of perfume, aptly named “Supreme”.
That’s one hell of a week for Zlatan…
