Carson Daly is keeping in mind a scary time in music history.

Following the release of the Netflix documentary Trainwreck: Woodstock ’99, Carson remembered what it resembled to host MTV’s Total Request Live at the Woodstock ’99 celebration.

“All I can say is I thought I was going to die,” he composed in anAug 11 Instagram post.

Carson, 49, stated it “started off great” as he spoke with artists like Jay Kay of the band Jamiroquai from the side of the primary phase. But then they “started getting pelted with bottles, rocks, lighters, all of it,” he remembered.

According to Rolling Stone, the occasion, which was an ode to the initial Woodstock celebration in 1969, hosted over 200,000 individuals in New York and ended in riots, violence, claims of sexual attack and fire triggered by festival-goers.

“It got insane, fast,” Carson continued. “Nightfall, Limp plays ‘Break Stuff’ & & the detainees were formally running the jail.”

He discussed that while chaos appeared, he can “remember feeling like I was in another country during military conflict.”
