The CBS group is grieving the loss of a cherished associate.
Elise Finch— the New York meteorologist whose profession at the network covered over a years– passed away at the age of 51, the media business validated July 17.
“It is with profound sadness that we share news of the passing of our beloved Elise Dione Finch Henriques,” the declaration shared to the wire service’s site read. “Elise has actually been a good friend and employee at WCBS for 16 years. She very first signed up with the group in 2007 as our weekend meteorologist and was most just recently on the early morning news with Mary Calvi and Chris Wragge In September, Elise signed up with Cindy Hsu on the 9 a.m. broadcast.”
Finch, who won an Emmy for her work, was likewise honored as a “gifted and consummate professional who took great care” in her occupation.
“She was also a wonderful ambassador in the community, including her hometown of Mount Vernon,” the declaration continued. “Above all, Elise was an increasingly caring and dedicated mom to her child Grace and better half to Graig Henriques, who is a photojournalist at WCBS.”
