Astronomy is not Chelsea Handler‘s strength.
The comic appeared to shock Jimmy Fallon on NBC’s The Tonight Show Jan 12 when she stated, “I didn’t know until I was 40 years old that the sun and the moon were not the same thing.”
Fallon reacted, “I found this hard to believe, what are you talking about?” Handler continued, “It was shocking to me, as well.”
The 47- year-old, who is hosting the 2023 Critics Choice Awards onJan 15 and visitor hosting The Daily Show in February, remembered being called out over the matter throughout a journey to Africa.
“We were on safari,” she informedFallon “My sis and I were riding an elephant and there was a male riding an elephant for us, since we do not understand how to ride an elephant. And my older sis, Simone searched for at the sky and she stated, ‘Chelsea, Chelsea, search for. It’s seldom you get to see the sun and the moon at the exact same time.'”
