Cher is looking for to be the sole conservator of her child Elijah Blue Allman‘s estate, according to files submitted in Los Angeles Superior Court and acquired by E! News.
In the filing, the “Believe” vocalist declares that he is “substantially unable to manage his financial resources.” While the 47- year-old is because of get possessions from his trust before completion of the year, Cher states in the files that a conservator is “urgently needed…to protect Elijah’s property from loss or injury.”
The 77- year-old goes on to information that Elijah — whose dad was late artist Gregg Allman— can not manage his financial resources due to his supposed drug abuse concerns.
“Elijah is entitled to regular distributions from the Trust, but given his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues,” the filing notes, “[Cher] is worried that any funds dispersed to Elijah will be right away invested in drugs, leaving Elijah without any possessions to attend to himself and putting Elijah’s life at danger.”
