Christie Brinkley has a brand-new hip, and a wild story to opt for it!
On Jan. 6, the supermodel shared a picture slideshow of herself hanging out on a boat and snorkeling to Instagram. She discussed that the pictures were taken not long after she went through surgical treatment to change her hip following a frightening mishap from 1994.Â
“New Year, New Hip! Yes that’s a band aid on my hip. I injured my hip in a back country skiing helicopter crash on a mountaintop in Telluride many years ago. The pain in my hip got a little bit worse each year,” the 66-year-old star discussed. “12 years ago I was informed it required to be changed however the surgical treatment was intimidating ! And I had things to do!
But quarantine detered any strategies so I chose to lastly take some time for myself and do something about the discomfort that had actually gradually affected my choices. I wished to be all set to be able to state yes to chance.”
The Parks and Recreation alum included that she had the surgical treatment over Thanksgiving, and was luckily “dancing in my kitchen by New Years Eve.” Days later on, she stated she “put on long fins and explored the coral reefs propelled by my new hip!”
