All the Bridgertons are called in alphabetical order: Anthony, Benedict (Luke Thompson), Colin (Luke Newton), Daphne, Eloise (Claudia Jessie), Francesca (Ruby Stokes), Gregory (Will Tilston) and Hyacinth (Florence Hunt).
Anthony, Benedict and Colin all look fairly comparable, however feel in one’s bones that the one who’s sleeping with the opera vocalist is Anthony, the one who’s doing art is Benedict and the other one is Colin.
Colin is friends with (and the crush) of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), among the children of the Featherington household, who are inviting a visitor called Marina (Ruby Barker) into their house.
Regé-Jean Page plays Simon Bassett, a good-looking, mystical duke who declines to calm down and has some major beef with his late daddy. The queen, an effective yet bored lady who merely enjoys her chatter and her drama, is played by Golda Rosheuvel.
Each season, the queen states which girls she believes are most qualified for marital relationship, and after that she waits to see that she’s proper when they do, in reality, get wed. When her potential customers are not rather as thrilling as she hoped, Daphne signs up with forces with the Duke to get everybody off their back by pretending to be courting.
All the drama is openly recorded by the unknown Lady Whistledown, who is generally like regency Gossip Girl and voiced by Julie Andrews.
