The stars, and real-life couple, had a practice of taking turns checking out the scripts aloud to each other all season. But the psychological heights of the product ultimately made that difficult. “He [McGraw] could not read it due to the fact that he was bawling,” Hill exposed. “It took me about an hour to read it to him because most of the time, I couldn’t catch my breath I was crying so hard.”
