A federal appeals court on Thursday ruled that the Biden administration did not have authority to embrace a guideline focused on controling independently made guns called “ghost guns” that are challenging for police to trace.
A three-judge panel of the New Orleans- based fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed a group of gun owners, weapon rights groups and producers in stating the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ 2022 guideline “unlawful.”
