Computer issues are triggering flight hold-ups throughout the United States Monday.

The Federal Aviation Administration stated airports in Chicago, New York, Boston, Atlanta, Miami and Detroit suffered computer system concerns, the Associated Press reported.

There was an interruption with a supplier that offers flight preparation information to numerous providers, Southwest Airlines informed the AP. The news event service kept in mind that some Delta flights were affected too.

However, the FAA later on tweeted that the problem has actually been fixed and tourists need to call their airline companies to see if their flight will be postponed.

“Several airlines are experiencing issues with a non-FAA flight-planning weight and balance program called Aerodata,” the FAA stated in an emailed declaration.

“Mainline operations and regional operations are affected to varying degrees. Airlines included Southwest (SWA), United (UAL), JetBlue (JBU), Alaska (ASA) and Delta (DAL),” it stated.

Southwest released a 40-minute internal ground stop as an outcome of the issue and prepared for “scattered flight delays,” a representative stated by means of e-mail. A ground stop slows or stops the circulation of airplane incoming to an offered airport.

A Delta representative included, by means of e-mail, that “no cancellations are expected due to the issue and our teams are working to resolve some resulting delays.”
