A dragon without its rider is a catastrophe– as is a hit dream series without a 3rd book.
Thankfully, Rebecca Yarros lightened readers’ worries by revealing the 3rd installation of The Empyrean series– home to the precious Fourth Wing and its follow up Iron Flame— will be launched earlier instead of later on.
“I’m excited to finally announce,” the author stated on Good Morning America March 28, “that the 3rd book in the Empyrean series will be launched January 21,2025 I can’t inform you much yet, however I can inform you the title: Onyx Storm And there will be politics, brand-new experiences, old opponents and, naturally, dragons.”
She included, “The book is available for pre-order now, and I can’t wait to share more details with you later.”
And because Iron Flame ended on an enormous cliffhanger, fans were not surprisingly delighted by the news they’ll get the answer within a year.
“NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED FOR A BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT,” one user composed under Rebecca’s Instagram statement, while another included, “All plans are going to be cancelled. Can’t wait.”
