FuboTV, a live-TV package streaming service, stated it was the target of a criminal cyberattack Wednesday, impacting consumers attempting to access their memberships throughout the World Cup semifinal match in between France and Morocco.
Once the attack was discovered, FuboTV stated, it took instant actions to include the event and had the ability to bring back service by Wednesday night.
The World Cup semifinal match, in which France beat Morocco 2-0, started at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, and a number of FuboTV’s consumers required to social networks when they weren’t able to access the match. FuboTV stated the attack was reported to police and FuboTV engaged Mandiant to help in its examination and reaction.
While the examination is still in early phases, the business stated it would stay transparent and offer updates when it has additional details to share.
