Adele is not scared of some friendly competitors.
During a remote interview on the U.K.’s Heart Radio program Heart Breakfast today, the vocalist had a humorous response when informed that her long-awaited brand-new album, 30, will be launched a couple of weeks after music from a fellow fan-favorite pop star.
“Ed Sheeran‘s got an album coming out also on the very same time,” co-host Jamie Theakston stated.
Adele responded, “On the 19th?” and Jamie reacted, “Well, not the 19th. Don’t panic.”
The vocalist then stated, “Oh, I ain’t panicking,” and blurt a huge laugh prior to joking, “He can panic!”
Adele included, “I like Ed, I like Ed, and I actually like his other half, Cherry“
Ed’s upcoming album, =, the follow-up to his 2017 record ÷, is set for release onOct 29. Adele’s album 30, which follows 2015’s 25, will drop onNov 19.
“Adele is the one person who’s sold more records than me in the past 10 years,” Ed informed British GQ in2017 She’s the only individual I require to offer more records than. That’s a huge f– king task due to the fact that her last album offered 20 million. But if I do not set her as the benchmark then I’m selling myself short.”
