This Barbie isn’t messing around.
Margot Robbie exposed that a manufacturer from Oppenheimer initially asked her to move Barbie‘s release date so the 2 movies would not contend.
“I was like, ‘We’re not moving our date,'” the Babylon starlet informed Cillian Murphy on Variety‘sDec 5 episode of Actors on Actors “‘If you’re scared to be up against us, then you move your date.'”
The manufacturer presumably stated that while the historic thriller would progress with its launching, he felt it was best for the Mattel- influenced film to reschedule.
“I was like, ‘We’re not moving,” she described. “‘ I believe this is an actually fantastic pairing, in fact.’ It’s a best double billing–Oppenheimer and Barbie“
The Peaky Blinders star could not concur more, chuckling, “It was a good instinct.”
And Margot was right. “Barbenheimer,” a word integrating movies Barbie and Oppenheimer, blew away ticket office forecasts throughout its opening weekend, according to CNBC.
