In his very first public declarations to foreign media because 2015, Huawei’s reclusive creator spoke extremely of President Donald Trump and rejected claims that his business helped in Chinese spying.
Ren Zhengfei informed press reporters that his business, the world’s 2nd highest-selling phone producer, does not have routine contact with the Chinese federal government which it would reject ask for delicate details about its customers, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

Ren likewise minimized the business’s function in the trade war in between China and the United States, stating “Huawei is only a sesame seed” because dispute, and applauded Trump as “a great president” for his pro-business policies.
“He dares to massively cut taxes, which will benefit business,” he stated. “But you have to treat well the companies and countries so that they are willing to invest in the US and the government will be able to collect enough tax.”

Huawei has a troubled relationship with the US, despite its status in the global smartphone market. It can’t sell many of its devices in the country, and Washington has issued repeated security warnings about its equipment. Several countries — including Britain, Australia and New Zealand — are avoiding the use of Huawei equipment in their 5G networks following the US warnings, which is a major loss for the company
“I’m a strong supporter of the world building a unified technology standard,” Ren told reporters.
