Twenty-2 years and going strong.
E! News has a special preview at tonight’s brand name brand-new episode of U.S.A.’s Straight Up Steve Austin with unique visitor Ice-T. In the sneak peek, the hip-hop star assesses over 20 years of playing NYPD sergeant Fin on NBC’s hit drama Law & Order: SVU and how paradoxical the effective function is provided his criminal past.
“Playing a police! How the f–k?!” Ice-T chuckled in the video while talking with Steve Austin. “I went on the show to do four episodes, man. Here it is, we’re starting the 22nd season. I can’t really explain it man.”
“Is it still fun?” Steve asked.
“Yeah, it’s fun because of the work environment,” the star responded. “Here’s an amusing story for you. So when I initially got on the program I was with Richard Belzer. And I was there for about 3 months and they resembled, ‘Well, Ice, you’re not bonding with the group.’ Meaning I think they didn’t believe I was gonna head out to lunch with them and all that. I was simply stating my lines.”
