A lady was stung by a scorpion onboard a flight from Nagpur to Mumbai, it was reported.
The ‘extremely rare and unfortunate’ occurrence taken place on an Air India aircraft on April 23.
Cabin team right away administered medical treatment and the traveler was hurried to the medical facility not long after landing.
‘On landing she was attended by the doctor at the airport and subsequently was treated at the hospital and discharged,’ a representative for the airline company informed Asian News International.
‘Our officials accompanied the passenger to the hospital and offered all support to the passenger till discharge.’
Air India stated it followed procedure and performed a complete assessment of the jet after landing in Mumbai.
The scorpion was ultimately found and the airplane was fumigated. It is still uncertain how the animal got on board or if the scorpion was toxic.
