Amazon creator and executive chairman Jeff Bezos unloaded more than 14 million shares of his business valued at approximately $2.4 billion, bringing the overall offered considering that the start of the month to 50 million.
The sales started late recently and continued through Tuesday, according to a securities filing. In overall, Bezos offered 14,006,906 shares in the business for about $2.37 billion, the filing states.
The sales were performed under a prearranged trading strategy that Bezos embraced in November and revealed previously this month, which stated he might offer up to 50 million Amazon shares beforeJan 31, 2025.
Bezos offered about 12 million Amazon shares, worth around $2.03 billion, recently, in addition to another tranche of 12 million shares simply days before. He unloaded another 12 million shares the week before that.
Bezos had not offered Amazon’s stock considering that May 2021, the year he stepped down as Amazon’s CEO, prior to the most recent flurry of sales. He  gifted about $240 million worth of Amazon shares in 2015.
