Apparently, Jeremy Strong‘s very first audition wasn’t really success ful.

In an interview with The New Yorker onDec 5, Strong exposed that he initially auditioned for the function of Kieran Culkin‘s character, Roman Roy, prior to landing the function as his older bro, Kendall, on HBO’s Succession According to the interview, back prior to the series premiered in 2018, executive manufacturer Adam McKay approached Strong with the pilot script and stated, “tell me what role you connect with.”

Strong eventually picked the youngest of Logan Roy’s kids. “I thought, Oh, wow, Roman is such a cool part,” Strong described. “He’s, like, this bon-vivant prick. I could do something that I hadn’t done before.”

Strong went on to talk to for the function however while he remained in Denmark to get wed, he got the call that Culkin had actually gotten the part.
