Jessica Chastain‘s experience in school was a bit bananas.
The Help starlet just recently reviewed her days in the class, where she would consume stunning foods in the snack bar to turn heads.
“I was an obnoxious kid because I wasn’t getting appropriate attention,” she informed The GuardianDec 10. “I would do things like eat banana peels in the lunch rooms so kids would notice me.”
Reflecting on that chapter of her life, Jessica kept in mind how her grades modified her understanding of herself. She informed the outlet, “I had always thought that I wasn’t an intelligent person because I did badly at school.”
But despite the fact that Jessica didn’t feel linked to the curriculum, there was an experience from her education that altered the trajectory of her life.
“There was a journey to the Oregon Shakespeare celebration and I saw Marco Barricelli play Richard III,” she described. “Something opened inside me. It was the strangest thing, that I might be so moved. I had the hugest crush on that star. I ended up being consumed with Shakespeare“
