Katie Holmes does not wish to wait to display her child Suri Cruise‘s musical expertise.
The Dawson’s Creek alum exposed that she hired the 16- year-old to sing a cover of “Blue Moon” in the opening credits of Alone Together, a COVID-19 pandemic-inspired romantic funny she composed, directed and stars in. Explaining her choice to consist of Suri– who she shows ex-husband Tom Cruise— in the job, Katie informed Yahoo! Entertainment, “I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her.”
“She’s very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing,” she continued. “That’s the way I direct in general: It’s like, ‘This is what I think we all want—go do your thing.'”
Katie included that Suri’s singing will likewise be included in her approaching flick Rare Objects, which she shot in 2015, though “other than that, she’s a 16-year-old kid doing high school.”
