A lioness eliminated a zookeeper while he was feeding lunch in Iran, reports state.
The female then got away with her male partner and lurked around the zoo for a couple of hours.
Both animals were later on recorded after a combined operation by authorities and guard.
The event on Sunday left a 40- year-old guard dead around less than 150 miles southwest of Tehran.
He was recognized just by his household name Esfandani and is stated to have actually been putting meat through a feeding window when the 2 lions handled to open their cage.
An unnamed zoo worker in in the city of Arak, Markazi province, discussed that the 2 animals then got away.
He informed state broadcaster IRIB: ‘The lioness, which has been in the zoo for several years, managed to open a door of the cage, get out and then attack the 40-year-old guard who had just brought food to the pair of felines’.
Both animal were then regained alive, the state news company IRNA priced quote the guv of the province as stating.
Amir Hadi stated: ‘Immediately after the event, security forces took control of the zoo.
‘Efforts to capture the two felines alive have been successful’
Authorities are examining the case.
Such events are unusual in Iran and all over the world and are typically blamed on bad precaution and insufficient emergency situation services.
