A zookeeper was gored to death by a massive antelope at a park in Sweden.
The male was assaulted by among the elands– the most significant antelope on the planet– after closing time on Sunday at Oland Zoo and Entertainment Park.
Richard Berglund, the owner of the destination on Oland, an island off the south coast, stated he was assisting him take the animals into the stables when it occurred.
‘It was a friend … we’ re all mourning,’ Mr Berglund informed press reporters without entering into additional information.
The case is being dealt with as a ‘workplace accident’ by authorities, which is supposedly standard operating procedure.
It is not yet understood exactly what occurred inside the enclosure.
The identity and citizenship of the zookeeper have actually not been validated, however he was from overseas.
A message on the zoo’s site states it has actually closed for the season and thanked visitors for ‘a nice summer’.
