In the season 5 ending of Riverdale, Hiram Lodge left the city after being banished by Archie (KJ Apa) and the rest of the gang. The group had exposed proof showing his corruption and, instead of eliminate him, they provided him the alternative to leave without ever recalling.
He seized the day to leave evade however not prior to leaving a present behind for Archie: a bomb.
While Hiram’s departure looks like a momentary repair to Riverdale‘s issues, showrunner and developer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa stated that Mark will not be returning as a series routine in season 6.
“So tonight’s episode is Mark’s swan tune playing our hunky bad guy Hiram Lodge on Riverdale after 4 ridiculous, marvelous years.
