Meta‘s Chief Business Officer Marne Levine is stepping down after 13 years with the business, Meta revealed in a release Monday.
Levine will remain in the function up untilFeb 21, and she will stay a staff member at Meta up until she formally leaves in the summer season, according to the release. Meta stated Nicola Mendelsohn and Justin Osofsky will handle broadened functions as senior sales and collaboration leaders moving on, and they will report to Javier Olivan, the chief running officer.
Levine formerly worked as vice president of worldwide public law at Facebook, chief running officer at Instagram and vice president of worldwide collaborations, company and business advancement at Facebook.
The prominent executive was Instagram’s initially COO and assisted guide the photo-sharing app to turn into one of Meta’s foundation apps along with the core Facebook app.
Levine was called Facebook’s primary company officer in the summer season of 2021, a couple of months prior to the business altered its name to Meta to show its concentrate on the yet-to-be-developed metaverse.
Before signing up with Facebook, Marne served in the Obama administration as chief of personnel of the National Economic Council at the White House and unique assistant to the President for Economic Policy, and she started her profession at the U.S. Department of Treasury under President Bill Clinton.
“From running global policy, to growing our Instagram business as the first COO, to leading our ads and business partnerships teams, Marne has been an incredible leader at Meta over the last 13 years,” Olivan stated in the release. “I’m grateful for our partnership, her commitment to Meta, and the energy she brought to the company every day.”
