A federal judge in New York on Thursday sentenced disgraced legal representative Michael Avenatti to 4 years in jail for taking from his previous customer, one-time adult movie star Stormy Daniels, who composed a dynamite 2018 book.

U.S. District Court Judge Jesse Furman called the offender’s theft from Daniels “craven and egregious” and stated he was sustained by “blind ambition.”

The defense had actually proposed that Avenatti be sentenced to 3 years in jail, while district attorneys had actually looked for 4 years behind bars.

Avenatti appeared in the Lower Manhattan courtroom using a prison uniform after Furman rejected his demand to use a fit.

In February, Avenatti was founded guilty of wire scams and identity theft for stealing about $300,000 of the $800,000 advance that Daniels was spent for her book, “Full Disclosure,” that included information about a supposed affair she had with Donald Trump prior to he was president.

He served as his own legal representative in the trial, causing unconventional scenes of the offender cross-examining the victim, Daniels.

Avenatti is currently in custody, following his 2020 conviction for extortion, transmission of interstate interactions with intent to obtain and wire scams in connection with hazards he made versus the sports devices giant Nike.

He was sentenced to 2 1/2 years behind bars for those criminal activities. The previous legal representative will need to serve another 2 1/2 years in custody, for the Daniels matter, when that Nike time is done.

Avenatti was when among cable’s most respected experts, routinely appearing on news programs to promote Daniels and slam then-President Trump, who was implicated of paying hush cash to the previous star.
