Michael Oher‘s previous football coach is weighing in on his “sad” bad blood.
Coach Hugh Freeze informed The AthleticAug 17 that he believes the “facts will come out” after Oher submitted a legal petition declaring Memphis couple Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy lied about embracing him and really became his conservators after he turned18 Oher, a retired NFL gamer, declared the Tuohy household benefited off of his life story through the 2009 film The Blind Side, per the files acquired by E!News
Freeze– who dealt with Oher as the coach at Briarcrest Christian School in Memphis and after that as assistant coach at Ole Miss– kept in mind, “I think it’s sad.”
“I certainly don’t claim to understand all the ins and outs of adoption, conservatory, all of that. I know what I witnessed,” he continued. “I witnessed a family that totally took in a young man and I think without that, there is no story.”
In reaction to the claim, Sean Tuohy informed the Daily Memphian Aug 14 he was “devastated” by the accusations, including, “It’s upsetting to think we would make money off any of our children.”
