Microsoft might be producing checkout-free retail innovation to take on Amazon Go.

The innovation would remove both checkouts and cashiers from shops, according to a Reuters story releasedWednesday Instead it would track what consumers are purchasing by seeing what they contribute to their carts.

Microsoft is apparently going shopping the tech to merchants around the globe, and has actually gone over a partnership with Walmart.

Amazon opened its futuristic Amazon Go shop to the general public in January and is set to open Amazon Go shops in San Francisco and Chicago quickly The innovation enables merchants to eliminate the discomfort points of shopping– queuing and paying– by enabling consumers to get and go, with the automatic payment happening in the ether.
