After being delayed a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 69th yearly Miss Universe competitors is back on.
On Friday, May 14, 2 days prior to the 2021 event, the 74 participants participated in initial contests, showcasing Ema Savhal Couture swimwears coupled with streaming blue-green, pink, peach and blue cover-ups, along with classy evening dress and fancy outfits representing their nations and areas.
Not all of them will certify to participate in the primary event, which will air survive on Sunday, May 16. Only 21 participants will advance to the primary pageant, very first contending in the swimwear contest, after which 10 of them will advance to the evening dress competitors. Five finalists will then be selected to participate in the concern and response round. At completion, Miss Universe 2019 and South African charm Zozibini Tunzi, the longest-ever ruling title-holder, will crown her follower.
Mario Lopez and Miss U.S.A. 2012 and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo are co-hosting the televised competitors. This marks the very first time because 2015 that Steve Harvey will not host the yearly occasion and the 2nd time Lopez will act as host because 2017.
