House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik on Tuesday advised Attorney General Merrick Garland to examine whether Donald Trump’s previous attorney Michael Cohen perjured himself in testament to Congress.

Stefanik, signed up with by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner, R-Ohio, declared in a letter that Cohen’s current testament in Trump’s civil company scams trial in New York opposed what he informed legislators under oath in 2019.

Cohen’s testament in both settings fixated his claims of monetary misbehavior by Trump.

Stefanik, a New Yorker who is among Trump’s most singing allies in Congress, and Turner composed that Cohen’s testament in New York court “is inconsistent with his testimony” before the House Intelligence panel.

They asked Garland to examine whether any of Cohen’s testament “warrants another charge” for breaching federal perjury laws.
