Samsung Electronics stated on Thursday it anticipates part scarcities to impact chip need from some clients in the present quarter, after reporting its greatest quarterly revenue in 3 years.

The world’s leading maker of memory chips published a 28% dive in operating revenue in the July-September quarter to 15.8 trillion won ($1348 billion) on the back of an 82% on-year revenue rise in its chip service, where revenues increased to 10.1 trillion won ($ 8.62 billion).

Rising memory chip rates and deliveries, plus a dive in success at Samsung’s chip-contract production service increased the chip department’s operating revenue, while sales of Samsung’s brand-new collapsible smart devices were tempered by marketing and part expenses.

Net revenue increased 31% to 12.3 trillion won. Revenue increased 10% to a record 74 trillion won.
