Passengers were informed to leave an Australian cable car as the chauffeur was feeling too distressed to continue working.
The Melbourne- based staff member informed everybody on the Yarra Trams D-class cable car to leave the service.
A video of the group disembarking was submitted to social networks and captioned: ‘When your tram driver tells everyone to get off because he’ s stressed out and does not wish to drive any longer.’
Passengers in the clip can been seen looking puzzled as they leave the cable car.
But numerous online applauded the chauffeur for deciding.
One user commented: ‘Good for him, a king putting his mental health first.’
Another included: ‘Multiple car and plane crashes have happened because people insist they’ re fit to run when they’re not. Massive props to this person for acknowledging it.’
‘I hope he’ s doing alright. And I’m delighted he in fact spoke out rather of continuing to drive not in the best frame of mind,’ a 3rd stated.
Yarra Trams informed Daily Mail Australia: ‘The safety of our staff and passengers is our number one priority – and we’ re providing our complete assistance to the chauffeur included.’
