Uber is pursuing resuming service in Abu Dhabi.

Mohamed Darwish Al Qamzi, basic supervisor of the UAE-based Center for Regulation of Transport by Hire Cars, stated he’s positive that the ride-hailing business will go back to doing organization in the United Arab Emirates capital, Reuters reported Tuesday

Uber, which ran there from 2013 to 2016, provided a comparable evaluation.

“We are in positive conversations… but have not yet decided to resume operations,” an Uber representative stated in a declaration, which blamed the service disturbance on prices policies.

When Uber suspended operations in Abu Dhabi in 2016, the BBC reported that this followed the arrest of approximately 50 Uber motorists for concealed factors.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Transport, which supervises the Center for Regulation of Transport by Hire Cars, didn’t respond to an ask for remark.

The talks follow recently’s European beauty offensive by Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, that included a conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, along with the statements of AXA insurance coverage for all motorists throughout the continent and a $235 million financial investment in a center for establishing flying taxis near Paris.
