The British parliament’s Commissioner for Standards opened an examination into Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

The British parliament’s Commissioner for Standards opened an examination into Prime Minister Rishi Sunak previously this month, according to a list of open queries published on its site on Monday.

The list stated the matter under examination was a”declaration of interest”

Sunak’s workplace did not have an instant remark.

The Commissioner is accountable for keeping an eye on the operation of the House of Commons Code of Conduct and Registers, consisting of examining any supposed breaches. The commissioner’s page on the parliament site did not supply additional information on the possible breach.

Under the standard procedure all members of parliament are needed to “to provide information about any financial interest which might reasonably be thought by others to influence a Member’s actions, speeches or votes in Parliament, or actions taken in his or her capacity as a Member of Parliament.”
