The CW is establishing a prequel series with the Walker star that’s set to take him all the method back to 1880 s. Series developer Anna Fricke will compose the brand-new spin-off, called W alker: Independence, in addition to Seamus Fahey.
Independence centers on Abby Walker, “an affluent Bostonian whose husband is murdered before her eyes while on their journey out West. On her quest for revenge, Abby crosses paths with Hoyt Rawlins, a lovable rogue in search of purpose. Abby and Hoyt’s journey takes them to Independence, Texas, where they encounter diverse, eclectic residents running from their own troubled pasts and chasing their dreams,” according to the network.
For those who require a refresher, the hit series Walker has to do with a widowed dad who tries to reconnect with his kids and handle household clashes and suspicions over his partner’s death when he goes back to Austin Texas and is a reboot of the popular Chuck Norris drama Walker, Texas Ranger, which aired for 8 seasons in the 1990 s.
