For Issa Rae, entering the (pink) shoes of President Barbie was– well, wonderful.
In reality, the 38- year-old was all set to live a life in plastic as quickly as she captured wind of all the information behind the highly-anticipated film.
“For Barbie, it was the director Greta Gerwig and the cast, seeing who was included,” Issa solely informed E!News “I’m such a fan of Margot Robbie I like Ryan Gosling And I was simply curious to hear Greta’s vision.”
And after checking out the script, she was more than all set to enter the world of pretend.
“I get to play a Barbie,” the Insecure alum shared. “I would’ve never imagined that for myself.”
Another element that stuck to her long after shooting covered? As Issa kept in mind, the film– which, in addition to Robbie and Gosling co-stars Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Simu Liu and more– was “literally the best set I’ve ever been on.”
And she intended a great deal of that appreciation towards Greta, who likewise co-wrote the movie together with real-life partner Noah Baumbach
