A Yale- led research study finds that worlds in binary star systems, comparable to “Star Wars’” Tatooine, are most likely to be climate-friendly due to their organized positioning. This finding, which recommends a greater capacity for life, originates from an analysis of 40 systems, exposing that almost a quarter display ideal positioning.

The scientists discovered that 9 of the40 systems they studied had “perfect” positioning.

“It could be an indication that planetary systems like to push toward an orderly configuration,”Rice stated.“This is also good news for life forming in those systems. Stellar companions that are aligned differently can wreak havoc on planetary systems, toppling them over or flash-heating planets over time.”
