Now you can inspect a dining establishment’s health rating on Yelp.
The business on Tuesday included health assessment information for dining establishments in New York, California, Texas, Illinois and DC. It’ll continue to present this function state by state in the coming months.
The health rating can be discovered on dining establishments’ pages under the cost variety function. The rating, which is a number on a scale of 0 to 100, is pulled from city governments and HDScores, which keeps an across the country database of health assessment reports.
This effort originates from Yelp’s LIVES program, which introduced in 2013, to bring health department information onto the platform. Yelp stated it’s included health assessment information to more than 200,000 company pages and the number will more than triple in the future.
Yelp included a function last month that can suggest the most popular meals of a dining establishment to you based upon “more than 100 million photos and reviews from the Yelp community.”
