UPDATE: During an interview on Sunday, June 13, Denmark’s group physician, Morten Boesen, detailed the gravity of Christian Eriksen‘s health scare throughout the Euro 2020 video game on Saturday, June 12. According to the medic, the Denmark midfielder was “gone” prior to being resuscitated.
“He was gone, and we did cardiac resuscitation. It was a cardiac arrest,” Morten shared, per ESPN. “How close were we [to losing Eriksen]? I do not understand…We got him back after one defibrillator, so that’s rather quick. I’m not a cardiologist, so the information I will delegate the professionals at the medical facility.”
Following journalism conference, the Danish Football Association explained Christian continues to remain in a steady condition and is presently hospitalized “for further examination.”
